Young athletes fighting their way to success
Lillehammer Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (LYOGOC), Lillehammer University College (HiL) and Lillehammer Hospital’s Sports Medicine Project invite you to a symposium where the focus will be on the challenges which young athletes experience. They are young, ambitious and vulnerable and in the phase of life when adult challenges arise, whilst they try to achieve results in their sport. As Youth they, in an increasing extent, make their own choices and decisions often without support from coaches, parents etc. This symposium will focus on the young athlete through a basis of knowledge and research from the different partners in the Sports Medicine Project. The issues are relevant for everyone with an interest and concern for young athletes.
